Life is a mystery : Natasha Richardson ’s death!
I woke up in the morning and read the news. I was really shocked! It was only yesterday that I read about Natasha’s skiing accident and hospitalization in New York. The news sources were not sure whether she was “brain dead” or simply had a swollen brain…
I did not expect such bad news. Just imagine…..one moment, you see someone alive and pulsating with life, then, the very next moment, the person is gone just like that! Her family must be devastated….my heart goes out to them…
It made me pause and think about life in general…There is none of us who has any guarantee card for how long we will live…young, old, sick, healthy, etc….no guarantee at all!
Hence, it is important for us to pause in our daily lives of rushing here and there to simply pause and reflect on our selves…What is it that we really want in our lives?Have we achieved it?What gives us joy in our lives? Have we experienced such joys? What about our loved ones? Have we paused to say,”I love you”?
What about the loved ones that we fought with?Have we made up?Life is short after all….
Today, I take time to pause and say to God, ” Thank you, God for the life that you gave me. Thank you for looking after me. I am a very careless person and it is only with your grace that I am still breathing and kicking. Thank you for making me aware of the gift that you gave me!”
Before I end my post, I would like to say all,”Please take the time to smell the flowers, enjoy the glory of nature, reach out to other human beings and smile for the joy of having another day”…..all these are free!
My condolences to Natasha ’s family and loved ones. Hope that they will cherish her memory and have the strength to go through this phase….Wherever Natasha is, hope that she is in peace….
Regards

I was also shocked to hear about her death, how awful and tragic. I agree with your position, it absolutely makes you think and reminds you that life is precious and everyday is precious because you never know how you’re going to go or when, so don’t take anything for granted! Thank God daily for the life He has given you and the blessings he has bestowed upon you.
Hi. Thanks for sharing your feelings.
