Earth hour …what difference in saving energy?

It is Earth Hour today. …1 hour all over the world. So, how much did we save today? What sort of difference did it make for the people world over?

We switch off our lights or dim our lights for one hour(and go to sleep?). what happens? What did we achieve other than the media clicking shots and making money on  news?

What is the real purpose of Earth Hour?Some say that global warming is not THAT SERIOUS;others say that global warming is SERIOUS……

It is open to discussion…….
